Korea in February | Seoul weather
It’s still pretty cold in Seoul in February. Average temperatures range from -4°C. 26°F to 5°C | 41°F. Daily maximum temperature rises by 5°C | 8°F from January, reaching up to 7°C | February is 45°F, so there will definitely be warmer days at the end of the month.

But don’t be fooled. Although it is still winter, there are days when the temperature drops to -11°C | 13°F. Average wind speed is 15km per hour | Nine miles per hour is pretty consistent throughout the month, so it can get a lot colder.
There is a mix of snow and rain in Seoul in February, so prepare umbrellas, snow boots, and waterproof gear. In my experience, there is always a big snowfall at the end of the month. It’s almost like the last gasp of winter before milder temperatures take over. Korea welcomes spring.
* Personal note: This winter is one of the coldest and snowiest winters I have ever experienced in Seoul. Heavy snowfall and low temperature -25°C | -13°F with wind chill. It’s so cold that the snow doesn’t melt as immediately as it usually does. If you’re visiting Korea in February 2023, bring some real winter gear.
